Transitioning from a hands-on UX role to a managerial position presents unique challenges, especially for first-time UX managers. Drawing from my experience as a former Director, Manager, and Key Contributor, I’ve witnessed proficient contributors ascend due to their solid UX skill set, only to grapple with the realization that the skills propelling them to individual success may not align with the demands of their new role.
